Pet Portraits

Yesterday was a big day here! My daughter's Frenchie, Izzy, turned one year old. Give her a break!....she doesn't have kids yet! Anyway, my husband thinks I am a miracle worker. He said he couldn't believe I got all those dogs to stand still for that portrait. Aha! I'm getting to be a better graphic artist than even I thought! I knew it would be next to impossible to get these five french bulldogs to "sit tight" especially with those dog cookies in front of them....so I cheated. We photographed each dog one at a time, then photographed the cookies on the table...then one by one I added them into the photo. Yes, I cheated....but I'm so proud of myself! Those magazine graphic artist "ain't got nuthin'" on me!! Enjoy!

What a darling idea! So that is the secret to pet photography, good PS skills! They all look so alert and perfectly posed, what little angels. Maybe it is my monitor but I cannot see any of their eyes in the dogs that have black on their faces...Oh, that is all of them! I mean, I can't see the eye or eyes in the black sections...huh, that is all of them too. Well, I hope you know what I mean!

I do!...in the larger version you can see their eyes. It's hard with the small photo. Sometimes I forget what size to post!! Done with two flashes at 45 degree angles so good catchlights in the eyes.
